How to Stay Motivated on the Long Run

Hello, friends! I hope you are well, and I am happy to see you in a new vlog.

After having thought of how to bring more

value to you, I have decided to explore the area of inner work and motivational content more, as it is not only a transferable skill, but also a significant part of the music training, that can offer a much wider and deeper comprehension of a music lifestyle. I am very passionate about these two areas, and I believe they go well hand in hand.

I am going to include such content in some of my vlogs together with my usual music one, as they are easily relatable and there is a lot of content that can be shared as a fusion between music and personal evolution.

This video is dedicated to motivation and how to make the most of it on the long run. I myself am in the process of it, and I begin to see the combination between this dynamic journey of staying motivated, and the set of goals we set for ourselves.

I also believe it is important to learn to listen to our bodies in this process, as they can offer valuable feedback along the way.

For this, I find it beneficial for us to:

  1. Find something we love to do. In my case, it is music, but this refers to any professional field.

  2. Set realistic goals (and know, there will be times when the progress will happen at different speeds and therefore in different time frames, and this is ok)

  3. Find. and use tools that support us in reaching these goals Self-organizing apps like ‘Trello’, lists, calendars, ExCel charts, or even journaling can help, depending on the nature of our work.

  4. Keep track of our progress

  5. Reward ourselves (with activities and things that enhance our well being)

  6. Balance our working schedule (either daily, weekly or based on seasonal work, whichever applies to us)

Somewhere along the way you will find your ‘why’, which describes your motivation in doing the activity that you have chosen. Some people know it from the beginning,  whereas others need more time in figuring it out, for a wide variety of reasons. I think It is important for us to honour our journeys, and to ensure that the way you use comparison is between our present and past versions of ourselves.

Lots of people think that comparing themselves to others will make them feel more motivated in the end. I believe this works exactly against it, simply because we do not know the background of those around us, and what might work for them, might not work for us and vice versa.

I usually compare this with us trying to fit into someone else's clothes.

Each of us has unique attributes that make us who we are, and these attributes serve a purpose. Our job, is to find that purpose and to align with it. I know it is easier said than done, and sometimes this might just sound like a theory. However, once we start doing it, it gradually starts to make more and more sense,  and it will lead us to a more fulfilling life.

How do we find our purpose and what could we do to support it?

Well, that is a topic for another video.

If you have found value in this vlog, you are welcome to like and share it, and why not, comment if you find something you would like to share based on this topic.

I am looking forward to creating more content for you, and I will see you in the next video. Until then, take care!
