As the year draws to a close, I always find myself returning to the quiet beauty of winter. There is something about this time of year that invites reflection, gentleness and a renewed appreciation for the small moments that bring warmth into our days. With this in mind, I have recently shared a new video that brings together a few thoughts, some glimpses of Christmas places in London, and a short musical offering.
London has a particular charm during the holiday period. The lights, the atmosphere and the sense of anticipation create a unique backdrop, and I wanted to capture a little of that feeling. The video is a simple and personal way of sharing a few impressions from this season, alongside a musical element that is close to my heart.
The background track is my own instrumental version of Away in a Manger, for which I created the transcription, production, recording and performance. It is a carol that carries a sense of tenderness and stillness, and I hoped to reflect that in the transcription. My intention was to offer something calm and understated, something that might accompany a quiet moment during these winter days.
If you are in the mood for something peaceful, cosy and musical, you are very welcome to watch the video. I hope it brings a moment of rest and warmth to your day.
Wishing you a serene and joyful holiday season.
