As part of the Fiddler With Musical Passport project, today we celebrate Mexico's Independence Day.
Green, white and red are the colours that have been adopted by Mexico following its independence from Spain. The central emblem is based on the Aztec symbol of the city of Tenochtitlan, the centre of the old Aztec Empire, which is now the actual Mexico City. It symbolises an eagle sitting on a cactus while devouring a serpent that had shown the Aztecs where to found their city.
Music is a passport to all hearts to get closer and share stories.
Unity to all Mexicans especially today, and unity and consideration to all human beings!
